
The Refurbishment of The A’ Zambezi River Lodge, voted 1st runner up –Best Resort Lodge Category at the Zimbabwe National Tourism Awards

The A’ Zambezi River Lodge is set to undergo a major refurbishment project that will see the lodge competing comfortably with International lodges.
The mock room which has been set up and finalized, It was handed over to the Lodge Management end of 2009,
However tentatively, the Lodge Management is anticipating commencing construction on the 1st of June.
The lodge re-construction will be build along the following concepts-:
- The current bar will be turned into a reception area with a view to the mighty Zambezi River and will include a pool bar
- The landscape will be transformed into a garden and river platform
- The rooms will see the whole back being removed to create open space giving the room a 360* view to the Zambezi River.
Rainbow Tourism managed to secure a $3.2 million n facility from the PTA Bank for the upgrade of A'Zambezi River Lodge to a 4-star, which is to commence end of May.
Important Facts
- The refurbishment will be conducted in a manner that will not inconvenience Guests.
- There will be little or no disturbance to the Guest in the form of noise etc.
- The Hotel Management and staff will be readily available at all times to assist guests with information concerning the refurbishment.
- The Rainbow Tourism Group would like to assure our valued clients that this refurbishment exercise will not in any way comprise on the A’ Zambezi River Lodge Standards and Customer Satisfaction Levels expected of it.
- The group has engaged SA project managers for the A'Zambezi upgrade as there are better skills there given the recent upgrading of facilities ahead of the World Cup.
- The group has adopted sustainable environmental initiatives in the reconstruction and refurbishment of the Lodge which is guided by it Environmental Policy Adopted in 2009 with the help of Environment Africa.
